Highest Priced Hatchbacks for 2015 (Part 1)





Even though most people think of hatchbacks as cheap, and small cars that are meant for daily commuting and saving on fuel, these cars can be filled with awesome features and equipment and offer an amazing amount of function, capability, and driving excitement.  With upscale styling and plenty of fun under the hood and in the cabin, hatchbacks can be the best choice of a car to drive, especially for those who are simply city dwellers.  These hatchbacks are the highest priced on the market for 2015.


Fiat 500e – The Fiat 500e is the all-electric version of the Fiat 500 which makes a great car for driving around town.  This car can run entirely on the electric charge and depending on the charging option chosen the 500e will be able to be refueled overnight.  The 500e shows up with outstanding equipment to enjoy and a very funky and fun appearance that looks like it is ready to party every night of the week.  The 500e offers a fuel efficiency of 122 city/108 hwy MPGe and an MSRP of $32,650 for owners to buy.

Lexus CT – The CT from Lexus is a very interesting hatchback from Lexus.  As one of the few luxury cars that is offered in hatchback form the CT comes in with all the Lexus features and style that could be desired and in general a very enjoyable price.  As a fantastic hatchback, the CT offers style and elegance in a hatchback form.  As with many hatchbacks the CT is very versatile, offering space to fold down seats and enjoy cargo space as well as room for passengers.  The CT shows up with a fuel efficiency of 43 city/40 hwy mpg for owners to enjoy the ability to navigate city driving and an MSRP of $32,975.

Chevrolet Volt – The all-electric Volt from Chevrolet is one of the most popular and attractive hatchbacks on the market for 2015.  Appearing more like a sedan but offering the fold-down seats and open trunk features of a typical hatchback the Volt offers owners plenty of enjoyment when driving on all-electric power, knowing they are not having to spend money at the gas pump.  The Volt makes a great car for city driving as an agile offering.  The Volt shows up with an MSRP of $35,170 to own.

Toyota Prius Plug-In - The Prius has become the most advanced hybrid vehicle on the market and the plug-in version allows Prius owners to enjoy the ability to drive an all-electric model for short periods of time.  This model of the Prius allows those who don’t have long to travel to avoid the gas pump altogether but adds the ability to go even farther with the gas-powered generator back up that is on board.  The Prius Plug-In model makes this list with an MSRP of $35,730 for owners to enjoy fuel savings.

Nissan LEAF – Touted as a cute and functional hatchback, the LEAF from Nissan is all-electric and very capable on the city streets.  This vehicle offers a great deal of capability and agility to maneuver easily in a crowded city.  The LEAF offers a great deal of enjoyable features, most of which is the 126 city/101 hwy MPGe that is offered to make sure this car can be enjoyed.  Depending on the recharge option used, the LEAF can be ready to go again the next morning and comes in with an MSRP of $35,930.

Five excellent choices for hatchbacks to choose from at the upper end of the pricing spectrum for this style of vehicle give any owner the opportunity to decide of an all-electric model is what they need, or if the use of a gas engine is preferred.  With one that actually makes the list as a luxury model, this list of vehicles offers a great deal of versatility and enjoyable driving for anyone to take full advantage of.
