Four More Recalls from GM

With all the negative publicity surrounding the completely slow action by GM for their previous recalls, the largest automaker in the US is now working to issue recalls much more publicly and much more swiftly than in previous years.  Knowing this, GM is now issuing four separate recalls that involve as many as 89,126 vehicles.  The vehicles affected are the 2015 Chevrolet Silverado HD, the 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado LD, the 2014 GMC Sierra LD, the 2015 Tahoe and Suburban and 2015 GMC Sierra HD, Yukon and Yukon XL.

The 2014 Silverado LD, GMC Sierra LD, 2015 Silverado HD, Tahoe and Suburban as well as the 2015 GMC Sierra HD, Yukon and Yukon XL make up 57,512 of the recall models which is the largest group.  Three of the new recalls involve airbag problems and the fourth recall has to do with the base radio which might not sound when the key is in the ignition and the driver’s door is open as well as when a front seatbelt is unbuckled and the seat is occupied.

2014 GMC Yukon: A Full-Sized SUV That Has a Lot to Offer

As the last model-year for this particular lineup of the GMC Yukon the production run is going to be much shorter for this vehicle to make room for the 2015’s to start rolling out later this year. With that in mind, the Yukon for 2014 is a great offering, having perfected this model, and regularly outperforms it competition which includes the Ford Expedition, Toyota Sequoia, and the Nissan Armada in looks, power and awesome style.  When the Denali trim is selected the Yukon will reach up into the luxury offerings and compete with a classic choice such as the Cadillac Escalade.

As a massive SUV the Yukon is perfect for the large family, a soccer team, or a Scout Troop to haul people and gear wherever they need to go.  Offering a towing capacity up to 8,500 pounds the Yukon can take a whole lot of toys or materials to either the jobsite or lake depending on the task at hand.  Long a favorite to head off road as well for a great weekend of camping or exploring the outdoors, the Yukon offers the capability for a good sized group to get away from the city and commune with nature.
