2014 Chevy Silverado: Newly Redesigned With Classic Good Looks






Truck buyers are some of the most brand loyal in the entire car industry.  Once they know what truck they are going to buy, whether it be because their Dad drove that brand, their favorite uncle, their first one was that brand and they never changed, or actual research and data, truck owners are hardly going to have their mind changed by simple add-ons that don’t make their job or life any easier.

Chevrolet has a heritage. That heritage is based around work. Yes, they look great, but they're supposed to be able to tow, haul, and generally help their owners get things done.

Toyota Corolla: Common Name, but What’s New?





One of the best selling cars across the US for years, the Toyota Corolla has been seen all over the country performing many functions needed to help make life in America move.   With such a long run on one name, having been around since 1966 in Japan and introduced to the US population in 1968 as a small, fuel efficient car with an affordable price tag.

Building a reputation of durability, Corollas were outlasting many of its competitors for a very long time and still claim the title of durability with a resale value rivaled only by Honda Accords.  The 2014 version of this long standing, Japanese built, American favorite.  With the main concern for America car buyers the Corolla still brings a great fuel economy to the table enticing the US population to buy them up quickly.

Volvo Gets Fancy with Inscription Package


Volvo has been trying to reinvent itself over the last couple of years. It's had an identity problem - not quite a full luxury manufacturer but more than just a standard car maker. This push has yielded some impressive advances, but the most recent one is actually pretty darn simple.

They're adding an "Inscription" package to their upcoming 2015 XC60 and S80 models. This means things that we're all familiar with in luxury cars such as leather seats, premium wood grain, and nifty floor mats.

The challenge is that even non-luxury brands have these. Volvo hopes that the difference will be in the details. They will have to prove it by making it much higher quality than what others are offering. It has to be noticeable.

2014 Jeep Wrangler: A Beloved Name in Off-Road Vehicles





Several decades of design upgrades and innovation aside, the Jeep Wrangler is still basically the same vehicle that was once only used by the US Military as a small and agile vehicle to cross rough and difficult terrain.  Watch any rerun of M.A.S.H. and Jeeps can be seen carrying the brass wherever they need to go, it’s amazing the Wrangler’s of today really do still resemble these old military vehicles.

Still offering the classic take off top in order to offer the flexibility of having the Jeep Wrangler turn from a beast of burden into a fun and functional convertible, Wranglers have been spotted all over the US performing any number of functions from ones at Miami Jeep dealers carrying beach equipment for a day of surfing to those from a Denver Jeep dealer climbing the Rocky Mountains with skis and poles for a day on the slopes.  The Wrangler was meant for fun, but also for function and can be used as a daily commuter during the week and a fun off the road joy on the weekends.

Citroën Brings Coolness to the Crossover Segment in Geneva


When one thinks of Citroën, it's rare that the word "crossover" comes to mind. The automaker is changing that perception at the Geneva Motor Show by displaying their crossovers, the C4 Cactus.

It's cute. It's a little sexy. It's definitely unique. The C4 Cactus has curves in the right places and should make a nice impact for the company.

Driver in Manhattan Hits 55 Consecutive Green Lights


Some people just seem to have all the luck. Sometimes, it's actually skill disguised as luck.

The timed system of traffic lights in most of Manhattan are algorithmically designed for maximum driver progress in the most populated city in the United States. YouTube user Tim Burke put the timing to the test by strategically making it through 55 consecutive stop lights without hitting a red.

Through most of it, he barely had to tap his brakes, though the cab in front of him continuously sped up and hit the brakes. Amateur.
